I notice that the Highway Authority at Cheshire County Council are up to their old tricks again.
Road signs in Polish are illegal in this country as is the use of kilometres. If you don't believe me just ask the Department of Transport.
However, it's not the first time Cheshire County Council have ignored the law and I doubt it will be the last.
Here is an example where Cheshire County Council Highway Authority have ignored a Local Government Ombudsman, Department of Transport highway design guidelines, their own highway design guidelines, Department of Transport guidelines on inclusive mobility, their own code of practice on inclusive mobility, the Disability Discrimination Act, the Human Rights Act, common law and the safety of pedestrians.
Not to mention plain old common sense!
So ignoring everyone, not just the Department of Transport, appears to be the norm for the officers in charge of the Highway Authority at Cheshire County Council.
PS Sorry if my Polish translation is not 100% correct. It should translate as Cheshire County Council Highway Authority is run by idiots.
